If you vote for me or any other Go-Whangarei member your concerns and ideas will be listened to and appreciated because understanding our communities’ needs is what we stand for. You have the right to bring about change and be heard and we want to hear. Our key policy is to put a hold on any unnecessary spending and direct that into community projects and into encouraging and facilitating good economic growth and employment.

Living in the city observing the empty shops, lack of parking and general lack of vibrancy is saddening and I believe as a business owner, Whangarei can do a lot better. The solution is a ‘PARKING FREE ZONE’ right throughout our city, the creation of a greater number of car parks and reduced rate charges for commercial property, encouraging new business into the CBD.

Whangarei is a fantastic destination with abundance of mountains, rivers, estuaries, beaches and bays, a playground to the locals and international tourists. We are the gateway to Northland where travelers will spend their time and money. We need to provide a safe, friendly and memorable experience so they can recommend to others. We need to encourage the arts and cafés; we need to make Whangarei a vibrant, alive city buzzing with activities and events. It just takes a good team with a clear vision and the ability to put through the changes.

I am standing in the Okara Ward along with my fellow Go-Whangarei team candidates and together we have promised no rate increases, free parking, cheaper and better rubbish management, more community funding and less bureaucracy. We are a UNITED TEAM of new councilors, experienced in our own fields who will bring common sense and drive sound economic growth which will create employment and bring new life to our city and our communities for all to enjoy in to the future.
